Fishing report for Blue Mountain Lake 4-15-2020...

Water was WAY up... wind was gusty... air temp mid 40's until late afternoon... water temp close to dam about 58 degrees... water temp toward Petite Jean River about 64 degrees.

All to be expected with the recent weather.

The bite was S-L-O-W on minnows and assorted jigs.

The new Garmin Panoptix was invaluable in finding fish.

The crappie we caught were 10-12' deep in 20' of water.

Did catch a few keepers close to 2lbs... ALL FISH WERE FULL OF EGGS.

    Good luck!

I have a rough time out there when the waters up that high. 2 springs like that in a row……crappie population should be doing pretty well out there

I agree. It's too hard to chase them up in the flooded woods. They're scattered.
