    Default Clear Creek

Fished it for the 2nd time a few days ago. Only caught 4 and one big drum. I stayed in the creek and fished many different depths but all the fish came out of 15' or deeper and on wood. All black crappie too.

It was really tough fishing. They were pulling water and the current was pretty bad.

Something I noticed was the creek was LOADED with buffalo and drum. Is that normal? Thousands of them. Made it tough to pick out the crappie.

Would love some pointers for that area if anyone is willing to share. Is there much to fish outside of the creek towards the river? Just haven't ventured out there..

    Thanks!

They may be Asian carp. But I hope not.

How are you distinguishing the carp and drum, size, water column, shape? In Beaver I am constantly seeing huge fish that I think are spoonbill. They are 4' to 6' long and there is usually many on my screen all the time. Jake there is some good crappie fishing in the river across from clear creek. Years ago I fished it in the spring.

Yes, the body shape and movement gives it away. Crappie look more round or football shaped and typically aren't moving a bunch unless provoked, obviously.

Give em' the stink eye and suggest they move to some area of the creek where you're not fishing.
