Default Short productive trip this afternoon.

Fished this afternoon awhile . Caught several good ones . Biggest at 2.20 lbs . Did not release these , ran into a couple guys that drove 2.5 hours to get here and were having no luck .

Really like the reach of this Phantom rod using livescope ! . . Saw just how effective livescope can be . Crazy when you see several slabs on a tree . They keep following jig but won't bite . Then one messes up and gets caught . The rest drop onto the trunk and won't move . What is real crazy is the biggest ones were just sitting out there around nothing but would bite if you put a jig near them . Man it still amazes me to see them and then watch them bite !

Nice ones CA! The impressive aspect of LiveScope to me is that you can learn something about the fishes behavior.

You will be impressed when you spend a day on the water with someone that knows how to use one . I am still learning but it is quite a fishing tool .You will learn so much more about fish behavior and reactions .

I know what you mean. I have used my LS three times now and have learned a lot. Yesterday I had a tree absolutely loaded with crappie and out of at least 30 I only got 6 to bite solid enough to hook. I had several more that hit so light I never felt a thing until I lifted the bait and only then did I feel any resistance as I saw the mark spit the bait. For every fish that showed interest there were twice as many that would get nose to nose with the bait but never commit and there were even more that totally ignored the jig.

Yes many will follow a short distance and once you catch a good one the rest get tight or leave . Like they know something is up and they ain't playing that game after seeing their buddy get drug off !
