Default Soggy day on the water

It was windy and drizzling rain . I tried using livescope but tough in the wind . I caught a limit but decided not to clean any and released them . I found out just how stout them Huckabee Phantom 13' jig poles are . Caught a big Buffalo on a jig .

That’s a big one there. Must have been some good line.

Just 8 lb Stren on a crappie Jig . That 13 ft Phantom rod has enough flex to give some but still swing 2 lb crappie . Helps to use reels with a good drag . Reason I like bait casters .

I’m guessing that you didn’t swing that one in, or did you? Ha ha ha!

Unless your Hercules with a rope and 2x4 , better grab it in the eyes . A technique I was taught to lift Buffalo commercial fishing with a buddy who has passed on .

Did you have to chase him with the trolling motor? I get a kick when that happens. Beware sea monsters are out there.
