    Default The Future of Livescope

With the popularity of the Livescope rising, what is the future for the technology? Knowing how tech works, I am kinda holding out on buying to see what advancements might come. I have become comfortable with my Humminbirds over the years and have used them successfully.

I am running into a lot of fishermen using them these days. I am still watching and waiting to see if the prices start to come down as the technology matures.

Probably won't be out until 2022 but they are working on a 4 pole holder, with quick mounts that will work on any boat without adding additional holes to the boat.
You put your existing poles in the holder and it will set the hook and bring the fish to a location in the boat. You will still have to take the fish off and put it in the live
well. Guess what is coming next. ( Just kidding )
    Tell'em I'll be there.

Lucky13, I’m like you. It’s going to be real interesting to see what they come out with next. Like you said Technology does not stand still and in today’s world on the introduction date it’s obsolete. I can see live scope getting clearer and sharper, updates in processors, farther distances it will range. Possibilities are endless. Expect Humminbird to come out with something when they figure out how to get around the proprietary part of Garmin’s technology. There new 360 Mega is nice but from what I have seen is no match for livescope in my opinion.

They will outlaw them for being too effective like they did spinning Wing decoys and bumpfire stocks. Especially since mine is on the way
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

Nope just another gimmick . But only as good as the user like all the rest of the electronics and equiptment . It is cool to pull up and see fish in real time and your bait . Look around and see suspended fish then catch them by putting you bait right on them !

I remember the first CD player I saw in an upscale audio store. It was about 900 bucks! I think the demand is such that they will develop fairly quickly.
It occurs to me that the tech is not all that new......it’s just a matter of adapting the tech to fit the market.
One thing for sure..... I bet this is just the beginning.

Deer hunting could use an upgrade from setting out cameras. Be nice to scan the woods and see in live time the buck you want to kill. I know the technology is there to do this....just wondering who is going to make it available to the public.

I hope not. Nothing like sitting near a tree or on a stand half asleep and having a heart attack when an 8 point steps into view.

I agree but the same can be said for fishing..... loading up and hitting the lake.. casting a lure in different places and trying to figure out where they are and what they will hit and all of a sudden.....thump.

Not just about catching a bunch of fish to me..... but I digress I guess.

Maybe the next step is a fish attractive that makes the fish come to you....similar to corn feeders.
