    Default Frosty morning LIvescope Crappie

Went livescoping today and it was cold ! Caught them on Huckabee's new Phantom 13 ' jig pole . Purple/Chartreuse
Umbrella tubes on Timmy Tom jig heads . I only use plastic but have noticed some snubbing their nose at my jigs . Today was rough in west wind with low 20's to start and water temp about 40 ! Took lots of looking and hard work but culled a limit . So slow had me thinking about experimenting with small hair jigs or possiably a minnow. But can't do it !

Man you need to retire and start enjoying life a little more . Been a strange start to winter . Been real busy and some lakes appear to be in a slump from crazy good fishing we have had last several . Sure looks like our huge flood may have hurt some places last summer .

I use same 1/8 th oz insert jig head by Timmy Tom and same Southern Pro Umbrella tube in Purple/Chartreuse well over 90 % of the time . I do like a Orange/Chartreuse 2.5'' Little Hustler tube by Southern Pro on 1/4 oz insert head when fishing real deep sometimes . I will try something like a weedless jig or solid plastic on rare occasion . If you like weedless jigs Timmy Tom makes some good ones . If you think I am not serious about using same bait over 90% of the time ask anyone who has fished with me or look in my boat if you ever see me on the water or boat ramp.

Yes, this is true. By my calculations, it is more like over 96.2% of the time. Of course I am only going by the times I have fished with you. I have seen you with a big honkin orange and chartreuse tied on one pole, while two poling. I will not reveal what was tied on the other. One time you tied on a black and chartreuse trash fish special that I had made while you were waiting on me to finish a limit. Other than that it is that secret color that no one knows about.
