Cary - How do handle fish that have too much air in their swim bladder? If there is a better method, I would like to know about it. Thanks.

Fizzing is the only method I know, I just am not convinced that they survive having a needle shoved into their cavity to release air. I have fizzed them when I have caught out deep, mostly bass. I have caught them, that there bladder was hanging out of their mouths which is really their stomachs, by the time I got them back to the surface. The law is the law. To short release it. I dont have this issue very often with fish since most of my fishing is done in 15 foot or less of water.

Make a open on one side basket connected to a long piece of line . Put Mr. Crappie in basket and lower back down. Let him swim out. Pull up basket. Repeat as needed.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

I think you need to be a paramedic to do this type of fizzling.

Bass guys out west use inverted and weighted milk crates. Lower Down, give em a minute, then bring it up! Essentially what Gomer said.
