    Default Lake pointers

I just bought a boat and really enjoy crappie fishing but need to learn the lakes around me. I am close to Brewer,Greers Ferry,Ovecup,Akins, and Dardanelle. If anyone has any pointers for me..please send them my way.

Go to the agfc website and download all the game and fish brush piles for those lakes. Good place to start.

I'm not sure if the fish finder unit that is on the boat is capable of getting the downloads...I have a Lowrance X47TX and I just bought a Garmin etrax 10 but not sure if I can just put the coordinates in it. I am new to all is technology.

One tool I recently discovered is the Navionics app for smart phones. Subscription is $20 for a year. It has great contour detail like my DFs but the neat part is being able to study the lake in detail from your easy chair (or office) and mark spots that look good. Its a dynamic app so it will guide you on the water to spots you mark.
If you have an active Navionics map card in your DF you can transfer data from phone to DF.
The app is really handy when fishing on a friends boat because you can save and share waypoints via the app.

Did you use your phone to search?
    It's www.webapp.navionics.com
This link won't connect using my tablet, only via smart phone.
    I don't see anything regarding it's discontinuance.
My phone is Android. I bought the app through GooglePlay. Theres a platform for Apple also.

Here's a picture of my phone with app . That's partially zoomed in on a lake I fish.
