I mostly dip using longer rods but that Hot Rod is good for flipping a jig out with a spinning reel . I will be using one this winter with a spinning reel fishing brush piles in 25' to 50' on Dardanelle for sure . Maybe you can make a short road trip down here this winter . Always an extra seat in my boat for you .

Nimrod I know your preference in jig selection but was interested in your thoughts on the Beaver Bottoms you used at Wister. I have tried them and other larger bodies but seem to fall back to the 2-inch or smaller sized ones. Does water clarity matter?

I think it is more what mood the fish are in . We caught fish with those Beaver Bottom baits but just let the fish tell ya . The Livescope will let you see how they react . Some days they follow your bait and other days they seem to hit anything .
