    Default Hot Springs Crappie expo

Who all has gone or going ? Lots of things to check out there and tomorrow is day 3 of the big tournament . Those guys are having a rough time from watching the weigh in . Got to visit with Pico , Slab , Billbob , ''G'' , Creekslick ,and Pesce , folks on forums here (www. Crappie.com ) .
I stopped by several vendors booths and visited with great folks . Ken Roberson and Todd Huckabee from Power Crappie have a booth. Picked up a new ''13' pole called a Phantom 13 '' strong but extremely light and should give extra reach using livescope . Also a ''9' called a Hot Rod '' which like the rest looks tough and feels great , think it will be good fishing deep water where a longer pole not needed . My hat was faded so they fixed me up with a new one . Thank you guys from Power Crappie / Huckabee rods .

I went and spent most of the day.
Looked for you but missed you.
It is a cool show, I too got a Phantom 13, it is light, with plenty of backbone!
Pico was there, as well as lots of others.

Went Friday, said hello at the booth and went back today to watch the folks fishing. I never saw a single fish caught all day today. Talk about tough.

Was wondering if the weather hurt the bite any over there . It even slowed the bite on Nimrod where you if don't catch a hundred it is slow .

Wally says he fried crappie for 8000 folks at yesterday's free crappie fry. Really worked those Cajun Fryers out!! I was observer in second place boat today... they only had 4 keeper fish after 8 hours of intensive dock shooting. Haven't seen where they finished.

I as well was a observer on day 3. The Pros I was with finished 9th. They fished their tails off for 4 keepers on Sunday. They shot docks and vertically fished some trash piles. Great day on the water with some outstanding fisherman.

Was going to be Ouachita this time, but lack of cell phone coverage precluded live streaming, so it was moved to Hamilton. Lots of grumbling from the pros who spider rigged or long lined due to lack of success. But weather had a lot to do with it.
