Default River gives up the goods on a hot day

River levels are finally starting to get down right here in NEA. First time I’ve ever pulled a turtle out of basses mouth.

Those are st. Francis fish. Used to catch 100 of those spots daily. Now I'm too decrepit to do it. That river is tough on people and equipment. But the closest place to heaven that I've ever been.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

That's a great catch. I am glad to see the rivers coming down to where they are fishable.

I find that I can catch them out of a bush one day , go back the next and catch 1 or 2. Then have to look for another bush. They must move ensemble through the night and pile up together at dawn.
