First they start requiring a 20 dollar permit. Secondly it expires July 31 so you get to buy 2 if you start early and fish into August. So for a week now I have been trying to buy one. Went to their website and completed the forms. Hit send. "There is a problem with pay.gov. Try again later". So I start calling their phone at dbwmr. Recording comes on and tells me the hours are 8-5 m-f, asks if I know parties extention, road closings (which I doubt) hunting draw info and any other thing hit 0 for main desk. It rings....recording comes on "Messages are not being taken at this time. Thank you. Goodbye". Been trying since Sunday.
Frustrating to say the least. If you are gonna require a permit, at least be available.

Holly had to enter my info. She said that perhaps the ship to address differed from billing address. Or any little screwup will kick it out. But I filled in everything correctly. Gave her the same data as I was using.

Got my permits and fishing license yesterday. Easy peasy. Only took a minute or two. Got my Cache River permits and hunting/fishing license by email in way less than an hour.
It was two different sites though. AG&F on the license and the Fed’s site for the federal permit.

Your goverment has priced me out of using that area,I will not be getting a permit,my very small ss amount will not let me. First they take all of the acess to the banks of the river and make bike trails,keeps you from driving and parking close enough for old people like me so I can fish sure they made a small place to fish,but now in order to acess the other areas you have to have a boat.I guess they are going to make fishing harder to do unless your well-off....Now they do this too.
