    Default Beaver lake

Doing a guided striper trip for my bachelor party on beaver June 8. That’ll be over by noonish so we’re going to take a boat and see what we can find after we’re done. If stripers don’t pan out any idea where we can get into some crappie? We will be near the lost bridge village area, any tips? Probably fish mid day - evening, maybe throw some jugs or something and go back out Sunday morning if it seems productive Saturday evening. Thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated.

Good luck. Wish I could help. Haven't been able to chase crappie on beaver this year - hopefully soon.

JJ’s Grill at Prairie Creek is always a good time if the fish aren’t biting!

    Default Beaver lake

    Thanks for the pm!

I’m down here today, wife to be has a trial run for wedding hairdo stuff. While she’s doing that I was thinking I may run over to the prairie creek area and do a little bank fishing. Is that a decent idea or a waste of time?

Fishing is never a waste of time. At least you are setting a line. Catching fish is a bonus!

Fair, but in some spots trying to fish off the bank isn’t a productive endeavor

Ended up going to lake Bentonville because the hair thing was 30 minutes from prairie creek. Can’t say I’d recommend that particular patch of water.

The one next to the air strip?

I tried it a few months ago and couldn't even get a bite. I was hoping to catch one of the tagged stocked trout.

That’s the one. I did see a heron munching down on a smaller bluegill or something, so there’s fish in there but nothing that wanted to bite my stuff.
