Well I think it is safe to say I'm done with lake fayetteville. Checked out seqoyah today and did pretty well. Here are my best 2 crappie - really good for me.

Anyone know what this bottom fish is? Only 1 stripe.

Nice catch! Bottom fish looks like a White Perch. I didn’t know they were in Sequoyah. I better make sure the local biologist knows.

Please check the tongue for a tooth patch. See if you can see or feel a rough spot on the back of the tongue. If it doesn’t have one, it is a White Perch. If it has a tooth patch, it is a White Bass.

Tongue feels like sandpaper - no tooth patch.

Sounds definitely like a White Perch. I’m going to send you a PM.

From a guy that kills and eats over 1,000 white perch per year, that's definately a white perch. That won't be good for that lake's future.

Nice! May see you up there sometime soon since all my spots are getting messed up by the river flooding or already 20+ ft high. Been running up to lake fort smith but struggle to find any fish over 7-8 inches to keep.
