Late start today but still swung a few fat girls .
A guy I know told me they would not bite the Nimrod Special . lol He had livescope and quit at 10 am with 5 when i was launching the boat . Said it was too big .
I caught 5 on first top I hit but then had to work for them . When they slammed the bait , these Huckabee rods swung them aboard as usual .

That is a Umbrella Tube by Southern Pro 2'' on a 1/8 oz Timmy Tom Jig head which is insert style on #1 hook. I sometimes use a 2.5'' little Hustler in Orange/Chartreuse glow on 1/4 oz insert jig head with 1/0 hook . Good sized Crappie don't get big by eating small , that Sunfish I cut out of one of my fish is not the biggest I have found in one by far .Originally Posted by Redge
