Those are definetly some nice fish. Just curious about something, I have fished a lot of different colors and sizes of jig heads and skirts and I agree that usually bigger fish like bigger baits. What purpose or advantage do you think the insert style jigs serve?

Insert jig heads require no paint and are usually cheaper . I think the tubes last longer but you do need to retie to change but I like to cut off a few feet of line every change anyway . I seldom use but one color so only change is when fish tear it completely up .

Not fished Nimrod in weeks . Lake is 367 msl , about 22 feet above spring pool . Not worth my time but you might catch a few . The last time I fished here I limited on Sunday when lake just started up and was only 3 or 4 feet high and rising . Once it passes 350 msl I look else where to fish .

I have fished many times with Nimrod, one time we were the only boat in a white out rain and still catching crappie, we got a little wet but it is what it is.
