    Default Need help on Greer’s

I’m fishing around the Sugar Loaf area.

Sunday I was catching them in 24-26’ fow, about 12’ down.

Tuesday I was catching them in 17-19’ fow, between 8-12 down.

Today, I caught two in 26’ fow of water, roughly 14’ down

I just couldn’t locate them today, tried jigs, minnows, and even rolled up to 10’ of water.

Temp today was 61-62, what should I have done different? I read the report and it reports they are in 2-5’ fow. Should I try super shallow tomorrow?

I fished Frontier Canyon area yesterday afternoon and we had to find structure that they were holding on to catch any. We were mainly in 14' of water and the fish were 5' to 10', the bite was really slow and if I hadn't had livescope I'd have bet they weren't were we found them, they just wouldn't bite, but they were definitely there big time. We did catch a couple shallow in the buck brush but we didn't fish that way too long. Some other people we talked to caught them extremely shallow by casting a jig almost on the bank and slow rolling it back. The last couple of days has certainly warmed the water temp up I bet they are far more shallow now then you've been fishing, not to say they're not some out there but I'd go shallow if it were me and I didn't have livescope.

Thank ya for the reply. I’ll give it a rest tomorrow and head back up there Friday and start super shallow and work my way out and along the shore line. No livescope here, but I may be rethinking it if these fish keep giving me fits!

We were in Frontier Canyon tonight sampling Bass. But we also noticed that the crappie were thick in the buck brush. Mostly males but we saw a few females too. Water temp was 68.Name: IMG_1355.jpg

    Nice one!

I pulled this one and 10-11 of her relatives out at Sugar Loaf on Tuesday.
