This past weekend my Minn Kota 70sc just up and died. So started at my two deep cycle battteries....they were good....check the 4 fuses...all good. Have power at foot control. Checked foot switch, toggle side on off switch, and speed switch....all seem good. Cracked open the motor housing...pulled out the Armature and found the brush plates. One on my brushes was not sliding on to the Armature shaft. Pulled it of and cleaned and sanded it. Cleaned the slot it was in... put back together and sliding correctly now. Cleaned the other brush. Got all back together and BAM !! It works now. I think I covered about any issue it could have been. Glad I didnt take it somewhere and wait weeks and get ripped off....the SPAWN IS ON and I gotta fish at all cost. Cudos to YOUTUBE and GOOGLE. You can about do anything nowadays.....

Great Job! I am not afraid to tackle projects with little to no knowledge, with the interweb it has made it a lot easier. But some projects do take longer but I chalk it up learning.

There"s a hillbilly on you tube that can show you how to fix the wobbling tubes on the bobbling shaft of absolutely anything......
Usually there are several.....Anytime I am stumpted on any thing I will do a you tube search and there are usually multiple hillbillies showing you how to do anything known to man......
One of your best tools in your toolbox is you tube...
