Default Waypoints on AR Game and Fish website

This may be a D10 or Creekslick question because I know a few years back they put in a lot of work on Greers, but maybe someone else knows as well.

On the website it has downloadable waypoints, I am figuring those are ones that the Game and Fish have put out on certain lakes over time. My question is, of those are they all artificial and therefore should still be there or are some on the list natural and therefore may have already crumbled. Not looking for anyones "Honey Hole" but trying to eliminate ones that may not still be around. Thanks.

It is a mixture of the two. For example: For Bull Shoals Lake, the 425 waypoints are all natural brush pile sites. Yes some of them are in bad shape and will be refreshed in the upcoming years. Whereas on Norfork Lake, the 16 of the 185 sites are artificial structure sites. All 169 natural brush pile site have been refreshed since Thanksgiving '18. We have been telling our GIS Division that each site needs to be mark to be able to tell whether it is natural or artificial and also when the site was established and/or refreshed.

Let me know if you have any issues with the downloads. We are working with the GIS division to improve this aspect.

Jeremy, I recently purchased a Garmin Unit and was trying to download the waypoints for the structures on Chicot yesterday from the AGFC website. After looking at the download instructions, I could copy the file, but could not get it to paste to the drive with my SD card. Any ideas? I've never done this before and know there is something simple that I'm doing wrong. Thanks, Brandon

Thanks for handling Jeremy. He is more fluent in this topic than I am.

Thanks Jeremy for the info and response. This is good stuff.

And thank you to the Game and Fish for what you do.

My wife’s 1st cousin was Executive Director for Ar Game and Fish for 22 years. Now retired, but improvements still keep coming. Thumbs up👍
