    Default The elusive pink bluegill.


    Caught this guy and about 15 small crappie on the cadron today. A few Black crappie had what looked like the black calcium spots, The white crappie were yellowish and the bluegill were pink.

    Going to the eye doctor tomorrow.

    I've seen them with some pink on them but not like that. Wonder what they've put in that lake. LOL.

    I think what your talking about in Crappie fillets are hard black things in fillets must be parasites

    Looks like scales missing and the skin irritated and pink. Interesting!

    Its definitely missing scales where the pink is. Ive caught males with pink and purple bellies before though

    Scales were all there, caught a bunch more bluegill today with the same pink color today.

    I have seen bluegill with a pink hue on my of the lakes, especially Greers Ferry.

    Looks like he swallowed that hook good. I don't care what they look like as long as they're big enough to eat. LOL Thanks for the picture and the report.
