    Default Barnett

Thinking about heading to lake Barnett after the rain is over this week. Don’t know much about it other than I live fairly close to it and it’s deep in channel and spots. Not asking for any spots but any info to point me in the right direction would be awesome.

I fished the canyon and the standing timber there is some hogs oh that stuff. And when you come out to the dam turn left and fish the stumps along the bank. There should be a downed tree in the water

Appreciate the advice, there is so much structure there it’s hard to find a place to start. I’ve fished it a few times but never have done any good. Being so close to me it would be a Great Lake for afternoons or mornings after work if I could get it figured out.

Barnett is really close to me too. Have never fished it and would love to learn about it though.

Fish the boat launch end for crappie, they stay in the shallow end pretty good. The deep clear stuff is more difficult, with 3,000 trees to fish, it can be overwhelming. They like to spawn near buck brush, fish off the bushes in 8 to 10 feet deep and catch the staging fish. Good luck
