The normal pool level is 342 feet. It is at 11.62 above normal today. I would think anything down to about 338 feet would be OK, but I bet Nimrod will let you know for sure.

are u saying 4 foot below normal pool? Hoping u could launch anywhere at normal pool. Are u saying good to launch till low water level of 338 ft

I been trying to catch crappies but have no luck 1-2 fish or 0 most of the time. I look at this lake, and its high most of the time. I wonder how high is too high to launch. Or how low is too low..
You can always launch at nimrod. They have high and low water ramps. Sometime if the water is way high you can launch off the roads. Steep hills at several campsites.

I am saying that at Carter cove launch ramp it is fairly shallow when you come out of the cove an into the main lake, unless you know exactly where to go to stay in the creek channel. I'm not exactly sure how much below normal would be where it would be risky. Try to PM NIMROD and he can tell you for sure. Quarry Cove boat ramp seems to always have plenty of water to launch safely. High water is usually an issue more than low water until late summer and fall.
