I just got a boat and it is rigged out ready to go fishing. I just have no idea where to go or what to look for. I live in Beebe and don’t mind driving a ways for some good fishing. I have some double minnow rigs tied up and also have a fair amount of jigs to try out. Any advice on location and what to look for would be appreciated. Thanks!!
Nimrod would be a good place to start!!!

Hook up with someone that is already into spider rigging and is catching fish. If you can't find someone that will let you tag along, hire a guide for a day and
worry him to death with questions. Find a lake that has decent crappie in it and is a lake you enjoy fishing. Learn that lake until you know where not to fish.
It is a slow process, don't quit. Every year you will know more about what fish want and depending on the time of the year where they are likely to be found.
Tell'em I'll be there.
Nimrod probably can show ya

Just what stormcloud said. Find someone close to ya that already spider rigs and get them to go with ya or go with them. There's nothing wrong with pushing minnows around to catch crappie! There's several good lakes within an hour of you and remember, it doesn't have to be a famous lake to catch some fish. Many smaller lakes produce really good. If there is anything specific you'd like to know please feel free to message me.
You may want to get with “PAC in Arkansas”, here on this forum. He lives there in Beebe and he is into spider riggin. He is retired Air Force and fishes quite a bit.
