    Default Garmin Livescope

Installed and tested... its everything they say and more. Game changer... I swept searched all up Gold creek to the pool...seen brush piles galore. And a buzellion Shad....Watched my jig drop Right into crappie... unreal live action. Caught a good mess and released. Bigtime confidence of where fish are... and where they're not. That’s so awesome! Did you scan all around the pool or just up to it? I was talking with some guys last weekend and we kinda felt the crappie weren’t in there like they were. That’s based off of the bite and not the live action view like you have access too. Did you notice the bigger crappie hanging shallow or deeper pockets?

Yup Slabseeker.....I went around about half of the Pool...but didn't want to mess up Spider guys all over the place...so didn't cover all of it. Covered a lot of Creek spots i have always wondered about. Ill tell ya one thing...you can see where fish are or not as I said. And that means a lot. Dude....I saw things !!! Brush piles have detailed clarity in the pool on Livescope. Big Crappie swimming around. Easy to spot and mark. That pic above was a place they were really ganged up...but I still caught 30 Crappie all over the place and had 12 good ones in the box I pulled up outta the mess you see on the Livescope. But I got back to ramp and decided I have enough at home and released them in front of some dude looking at me like I was crazy. The Pool is absolutely loaded with bait fish...Shad. You know the Crappie are there too. I think they have so much to eat, and thats why is hard to catch them sometimes. Seem to hit in spurts.. I was whining to my my wife about a certain place (lake) that is hard to access to fish... She goes like this, " Well, now that you have this Livescope thing...you should be able to catch fish in ANY water" She's right... Game on.

Thanks for the wisdom! I hope to be back out there this Friday evening looking for a few. They definitely hit in spurts. What was your biggest fish today?

Can that black box with the heat sinks on it be mounted in an enclosed compartment or does it have to have airflow?

I put mine in the up front storage compartment. I think its ok up there on heat. Not any air flow obviously, but I will not stack anything on it in there. Sure don't want it out in the sun and rain. Also...I ran the power wires from the black box direct to battery to be sure no interference happens. I did ground the black box up in the bow at an existing board with hot and ground connectors.
