    Default Frosty start this morning


    I went today but started out by sinking cover . Man I started fishing after 9 am and it was still cold ! Found them 6 to 9' of water . Caught them on 1/8 oz 2'' purple /chartreuse tubes and 1/4 oz 2 1/2 '' orange / chartreuse glow tubes. They caught about same numbers but the bigger jig caught larger Crappie . They were full of Shad much bigger than my jigs .

    You can tell by their color that they have been shallow. Would have thought they would have gone down by now. Good report.

    Dingy water usually keeps them shallower . They seem scattered but willing to thump . Water temps 40 to 42 today

    I wanted to go this morning, but still had Frost on the Truck and Boat at 9:30 --- 6 Inches of rain the last two days and the lake was already a foot higher than normal Friday

    Fishing . I never give exact lakes . The winter bite has been on most places for several weeks now .
