Makes sense to me because some of the creeks will have a little more color to them than the main lake does.

I agree big river not sure which creek he’s in but I know where there is a little timber back up in the ends of a couple around my area. Will give that a try if I make it up there

North Fork Lake cut my teeth on Northfork Lake.
Fished with the Engineer That built the lake.
    Sure Miss him.
On crappie I we have to have 2-4 lb test Flourcarbon line Loomis or JDM .Japan high carbon Rods .
    1/64 oz Jigheads.
    Very little to no wind.
    Cast to brush piles .
If you get your trolling motor over brush you will catch one or Two spook the Rest.
The limit on northfork is 15 Over 10 in.OVER! 10 IN.
    THEY WILL CHECK YA.
    OVER 10 IN!
    Good Fishing.

One more question Jackie do u have a color suggestion for that clear water? When fishing the dock I’ve never used jigs up there. I know my colors for regular water down here but that’s so different up there. Maybe something like a blue/white glitter

Well went Monday and Tuesday. Caught 2 crappie and 3 bass. Pretty slow and permanent neighbor up there said it’s been a tough go up there. On flip side jumped the river today to MS and brought home 7 nice ones with my son.
