What is your max rpm with current prop? 24/3 probably going to drop rpm 250 to 400 rpm. Hole shot probably be a little slower but top speed may increase a couple miles an hour and handling won't be as good.

I can vary in rpm now. Depending on where I put motor on jackplate. Right now motor is in middle of plate. However I have to be careful with trim or it will blow out. Also noticed with the 4 blade alum, it goes STRAIGHT to pad. Awesome hole shot but have noticed no matter where I put motor on plate, I can not get any rooster tail with 4 blade. A friend loaned me the 24p stainless. Also aluminum is 14.5 diameter. Stainless us 14

Cray, also, the handling on a Bumblebee with a big motor is a hand full. Boat is so light I have 2 and may go to 3 50 lbs sandbags to hold the nose down to keep from proposing. Would adding a tail on motor help

If it's on an older bumble bee with the pad about an inch or two thick, you want the prop shaft itself about 3/4 to 1 1/2 below pad to start. You got it to high for aluminum prop right now. That 24 should work fine but you need to know what your rpm is to actually be able to select right prop and adjust. Yes a whale tail might help with the porposing. Sounds like your not getting it all the way on the pad if it's that bad. Should get up on pad and level out if everything is right. Put it on and go give it a tray. Weight in rear of boat is also a big factor.
You might PM Skeetbum and ask him how his is set up. He has same boat and motor setup.

Prop to pad on this boat will not go less than 4.25 in. That's leveling boat, measure floor to pad then level motor and measure center of prop shaft to floor. Difference equals prop to pad. Right now prop to pad is about 5.5 which theoretically way too much

My boats are aluminum
1860 with 115 opti & a 1548 grizzly with a new 25 4 stroke tahotsu & I had to put the 5*
Wedges on to get more tilt
To keep the bow down on both boats
Might help yours out

You need to talk with Lanier prop. You probably need some rake and or cup in prop to help get front down and bow lift. You simply fill out a detail form they provide giving specs on boat, time to get on plane, etc and will make recommendation. Either new prop or rework your prop.

Set your motor 1-3/4" to 1-1/2" below pad and stick a 24p tempest prop on that boat and let it eat, any time your rooster tail is higher than the top of the cowling on a normal bass boat all you are doing is blowing horsepower into the air, you should get your best results with this set up. with a 24 pitch tempest prop you should be within 4-500 of your rev limiter.
