We have had boat problems recently, to be more specific, we had to replace the lower unit on a 90 hp Yamaha. I know these are really suppose to be good engines however in the past 5 Years - I have replaced 3 prop shafts and 2 lower units. I will admit most of it was driver error “just can’t stay out of the stumps”. Before we bought the G3 with the Yamaha on it I ran a Lowe with a 90 hp Johnson and probably whacked hundreds of stumps without any damage. Go figure. Good news is we did have insurance which covered most of the damage. The pictures above are from 3 recent trips - 2 of the three outings were really productive with pretty good size fish. The fish appear to be on the move and the depths range anywhere from 7-18 ft.

Good catch Richard. Hate that for you with the boat motor. Them crappie like to get in the worst places don’t they.

You might benefit from an aluminum prop. Nice feesh. Those claims are gonna stay on your clue report.

I hope you're right about the prop. Several people have suggested that. I will probably buy one this week and use the stainless steel as a backup.

RL, ya'll are my hero. I've only got to fish twice this fall. Been working 6 days a week 12 hour days for three months. And I didn't catch a fish either time I went. I'm figuring they are about into the winter mode now.
