I don't, but I've seen others doing it many times. Most of the time, they catch white bass, but I have talked with some who have caught crappie. We always camp at Daisy State Park on Leg E. Good luck.
I've never been to and know nothing about the lake but it looks like my family wants to meet there to take the grandkids tubing and swimming. But I find it difficult not to fish if my boat is on the water. So I was wondering if anyone ever trolls crankbaits on Greeson?

I have done well up self creek. Only once in the past 15 years I have been fishing there. It does appear that the lake s getting better fishing with jigs But, my experience is they like smaller baits better tan Bandits.

Well I gave it a try. Spent some time Thursday afternoon scanning the lake to get a feel for it before getting called off to pull the grandkids around some on a tube. Then tried pulling cranks Friday morning but only caught 2 crappie and they were nice ones. Caught several small bass but no white bass. Got up Saturday morning to give it another try but the rain and thunder storms kept us off the lake until noon. But of course we had time to play with the grandkids on the tube for a while before heading home. Greeson is a beautiful lake, I imagine well be back down there before long. Thanks guys for the help.

My cousin and friend are there this weekend. Saturday, they didn't hit the water until around 10 o'clock and they fished until about 2 or so. Caught 1 crappie. That's a hard lake to fish in the hot summer, I'm telling ya. Along about mid to late September you can start catching them again and they'll bite all the way to mid June.
My friend P.R. and I drove over yesterday and grilled stuffed jalapeņos and chicken wings with them boys, but we never wet a hook after they told us how poorly they did. They're camped at Leg E. Saw lots of campers, tubes, and kids, but not many fishing boats.
Sorry you you had bad luck. Try again in October maybe. It's really pretty there in the Fall.
Thanks GGT we've already started talking about a fall trip. Looking forward to it. Man there were also deer everywhere we looked. The GK's had a good time keeping count.

Good post and memory making
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
It sounds like you guys had a good trip even if you didn't fill up the live wells. Greeson is also on our radar for this fall. Maybe then, the specs and the weather will cooperate more.
