I've been wondering the same thing. Google is no help on this.

Grew up wearing bream out on that jig. I still have a few but they are in pretty rough shape. Haven't been able to find them in 15 years.

Default The DanaMax story from my experince

Ok guys... I know this... The original DanaMax jigs go back to the early 80's when I discovered them at the original Bates Bait shop in Mayflower. It was the White concrete Block building that Rick ran across the street from the current Bates Field and stream before he expanded. Its long gone tore down now. It was a KILLER little bait shop. There was this short chubby dude in the back tying these jigs in question. They were named after his daughter and son ...Dana and Max. He gave me some one day and told me that they would change my life about Bream fishing. Boy was he right !!! In the early spring before it gets real hot, they out fish crickets 3 to 1. So when the bugs hatch, these little babies destroy Bream beds. He made these awesome jigs for years and i bought them every year. The Black with silver tassels was the best. But...Eventually all good things come to an end and the Guy that made these died. I can't remember his name at the moment, so all respect to Him and family. His kids didn't want to continue the business and the rights were sold out to Patton baits outta Cabot I was told.

Pictured here are some of the Original design Patton does of DanaMax jigs. I have been buying and using these for a number of years and they work as good as the original jigs.

Now here is the bad news. After hitting up 4 different bait stores last week, where I know these are, I have been told that Patton hasn't filled orders so far this spring. Apparently they are having some kind of issue. I have heard some stuff said ...but I can't confirm anything...so we will leave it at that. As luck or God would have it...I have a good stock of these jigs. Things keep happening with my favorite tube jigs and now my Bream jigs that is driving me to start Pouring my own tubes and tying these Bream Jigs. Maybe a new Business adventure on the side is in my future.... I caught over a 100 bream on the same DanaMax Jig last Saturday in just 3 hours. I have caught MONSTER REDEAR on Conway through the years with this Jig too...and I"m not the only one.

BUT I GOT TO HAVE THESE JIGS !!! One way or another.
