After looking at Google Maps we might go to Greeson instead of DeGray. Not sure yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hey fellas. Me and some friends are staying in Glenwood on the Caddo River next weekend and I noticed DeGray isn't very far from our cabin. I'll be taking my boat and thought about putting in at DeGray and trying for some crappie or green carp. I've never been on the lake and just wanted to see if I could get some info on where to put in and what part of the lake would be best to try out. Not wanting exact fishing spots or anything just a little info on the lake. Is it hazardous, shallow, deep, etc? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Redbone. Probably go to Greeson instead. Is Greeson easy to navigate?

Greeson is a beautiful lake, nice crappie too. I’d start in the river above the lake, in the cypress trees and brush. I’d launch on the upper end, there are ramps at the Self Creek Marina and Arrowhead Point.
