Anybody ever fish there? My parents had a cabin 40 years or so ago when I was growing up. Every Friday after dad got off work, there we went. Lynn and Ruby Perry were the one's running the camp back then. Nicest people ever. Used to give me free crickets so I could fish off the pier. I was just a little thing. Best I recall, dad did mostly bream and trotlines for catfish. Lot of found memories.

I was over there last spring and had my SI on. It's amazing how thick the Asian carp are in there. It was a great place when the Fowlers were alive and had the store open. Always enjoyed visiting with Mr. Fowler.

Mr Ed Delap started that camp and was still fishing the pretty days when I first started going there. Mrs Ruby was his daughter
and ran the camp with her husband Lynn when Mr Ed passed away. All were as nice people you would ever hope to meet. As
a kid, a buddy or two of mine would camp down there on weekends and run trot lines. We only carried food and a blanket. If
a rain came up, Mrs Ruby would come get us and put us in one of the cabins she didn't have rented. It was a very long time
ago. A lot of very good memories.

The carp are a pain everywhere the river is, but the Crappie are still there also. We smoked em in Greenville at the CM tourney in the oxbows. Don’t see why you can’t catch them here too. The gar are a bigger problem than the carp. Lol
I’ve caught a many a Crappie and bream at Midway. Haven’t been in quite awhile. I go to Sippi now.
