Hurricane Lake 1954
So my neighbor across the street is an older man who isn't in the best of health. I try to go by every Monday and share fishing and hunting stories with him since his health prevents him from getting out anymore. Today he showed me a picture of him and his fishing buddies from a day fishing at Hurricane Lake in 1954. Look at the size of those SLABS! Someone please rotate for me.

Which Hurricane Lake is that? Reminds me of when we had an old 1940's Willis Jeep and would go down into the Hurricane bottoms near Bald Knob to Big and Little Hurricane Lakes hunting and fishing. Man the things we used to do just to catch a mess of crappie. I guess I'd still do it if I thought we could slay them. We used to drag old flat bottom boats from the Little Red and White Rivers into some of the old river lakes around Hurricane bottoms and White River Refuge when I was much younger just to catch fish. Man we had some good times then, hard work, but good times just the same. Thanks for the pictures.
