Back in the day Lake Conway had a horse power (hp) restriction of 10hp. But it was told to me along time ago by a source who has since retired from service with the AGFC that the federal government made them remove the hp restriction in order to keep their federal funding and the lake had to be accessible to all boats of any hp rating. How true this is I aint sure, but it did come from a agfc person. I personally will not fish waters that are restricted by hp, or required to be electric motor only. I spent all my youth on the front of a 14' tin boat with a skulling paddle, I refuse to now. I bought a nice boat with a 175hp motor and nice electronics and nice trolling motor and by gosh I am gonna use them. So no restricted lakes for me.

x2 the fish always seem to bite better the nastier the weather, but personal safety is a personal choice, choose wisely. Mother nature don't play around when she gets angry. High voltage aint no joke. tornaders aint no joke either. Marble to Golf ball size hail hurts really bad when stuck on the water with no place to go also. Been there done that. Luckily I was able to get to the shore and take some cover in some trees and cover my head with a life vest the trees slowed the hail down just enough.Originally Posted by coolerfull
