Default Need A Bit of Advice for Lake Conway

If you could only fish one part of Lake Conway this time of year, what general area would you recommend (crappie interest only)? Dano's area? Adams area? Dix area? Paradise area. Green's area. Prairie area? Out in the middle? NE arm area? 89 Bridge area? Damn area? Other?

Also, would you jig only, minnow only, jig tipped?

No specific info wanted, just general areas.

    Thanks,

I would suggest a search for the info on the site. Cp has given a plethora of info in the past and it's all there if you do a quick search.

had a guided tour scheduled with CP earlier in the summer and, boom, it turned 95/100 before we got going. I am an old man (66) and can't take that heat as much as when I was a young buck. Gonna reschedule when he is available.. I know CP and CMG are both Conway experts.

I would fish the cypress trees in 6 to 8ft of water....which is everywhere. Conway is a hard lake to fish for crappie and few have mastered it, but there are some dandies in it.

well, that's pretty much what I have done the last three times I have gone out recently in the 93-97 degree heat. have caught 4-5 each time, all dinks in the 6-8" range. perhaps it would be better if I would go at daybreak instead of 10:30

Most Conway fishermen are waiting on the Fall. I have had limited success in August by following creek beds. They are not going to be more than a few inches to a foot different than the other areas. My favorite is out of Dano's toward Gold Point. Not the boat lane. To the left of the lane about 1/2 mile. DP
