    Default Ozark

I have a very good friend of mine that lives in Ozark Arkansas. There is a huge city lake there called Lake Ozark. He keeps wanting me to come out and us try to find some crappie in there. But it is so close to Dardanelle I think we should go there. But.....I was going to see if anyone on here has ever heard of the lake. Or caught crappie from it. And if you guys thought we should fish Lake Ozark or Dardanelle. Thanx!

Let me see.... Dardenelle is one of the best crappie fisheries in the nation. We all know THEY live there......My vote is dardy!! The bayou should be starting to clear up from all the rain by now.

Pretty lake.....fished it twice....caught a lot of white bass and a couple of small crappie....nothing to brag about. It was me I would have him meet me at Dardanelle. I have been told it is a great lake for big bream.

I work in Ozark and I am a newly converted crappie fisher, used to do nothing but bass fish and I have bass fished it alot and there are some big bass in it. The few times I have tried crappie fishing it I caught a few but nothing to brag about, but again I have no clue what I am doing crappie fishing...yet. Some how some white bass have got in it and they have spread like wild fire so I'm sure you will run into them if you go and there are some pretty big ones in there. I wouldn't consider it a big lake it is fairly deep though by the dam. There is an old road bed that runs across it though that could be pretty good, I know the bass like it. Good luck though wherever you decide!

Dardanelle should be clearing up in the backwaters soon enough . Never heard anything about Ozark Lake . Did see something about a Lake Hinkle . Blue Mountain and Greason suppose to be hot lakes but this flood may have them high now ?
