Okies invading Millwood 1st weekend in April.
Several uf us Okies coming down for some Millwood fishing, first week of April is the plan, Was hoping for some input as to a good place to stay? Boater friendly?? Never been there but rumor has it a blind man can catch fish there! Any input appreciated, Thanks dstreet

I think there are some cabins and a lodge at Yarborough Landing.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty, well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "WOW what a ride".

We camp at the state park mostly. I have a smaller boat and don't go to far usually. If the wind is up you can still fish there. If wind isn't much issue for you then you don't have far to go to hit the boat run. I would recommend gettin a lake map from Walmart. It shows where all the boat runs are. Cottonshed is a real nice place to camp but tends to catch the wind so we don't camp there much. If you have a good size boat you can pretty much go all over the lake on the boat runs. Be careful. Stumps mostly everywhere. There are some open water on south end by the dam. There should be some crappie to be had that week. There are other campsites you might want to consider that's closer. White cliffs is nice to and its on the river above the lake. Lotta river lakes.

I fish down there in the spring try the backwaters off the river I don't go down in the lake much white cliffs has a good ramp and camp ground good luck y'all should have a good trip crappie fishing is really good down there that time of the year

There are several cabins to rent at Yarborough. . Also a restaurant /bar next to the cabins. Yarborough puts you at the junction of the lake and river. There's definitely alot of big crappie in that lake and I guess a blind man could catchem.. Just bring someone with atleast one good eye to watch for stumps
