It's the swampy area right off of the Mayflower exit.
South of 89, East of 40.
    So I am told...

Hopefully they can keep in contained in that small area.

I pulled my truck over.. I thought I had a bearing slinging grease!
It was the oil spill I was smelling!

MAYFLOWER, Ark. (KTHV) - The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management is currently responding to an oil spill.
According to public information officer Brandon Morris, a crude oil pipeline, owned by Exxon, ruptured near Mayflower, and now some of the oil is leaking into Lake Conway.
The Faulkner County Judge has declared this an emergency; Mayflower Chief Bob Satkowski said the nearby Northwood subdivision off Highway 89 North has been evacuated. Satkowski said there is a noticeable aroma in the air near the incident.
The amount of oil that has leaked is unknown. THV 11 has a crew on the way to the scene and will provide more information as it becomes available.

Hopefully someone was smart enough to put a some kind of plug on that pipe that drains into the lake from that swampy area.....
