    Default Cooking Oil Tip

You can save money by buying the cheapest vegetable oil. I was a over the road tanker driver hauling food grade oils, and corn syrup.
I delivered to a company east of Nashville, Tn. that bottled the oil for different oil companies. Wesson, Crisco and about one or two more bottle there own oil.
So save some money, and buy the cheapest vegetable oil in the store, it's the very same oil as the high price oil...I think Lou Anne
is what we buy alot, if it's the cheapest.

I always buy the off brand Canola oil, name brands too high. Then strain and reuse several times unless it is burned.

i teach industrial safety as a consultant. i have done work for numerous grain mills which produce veg. oil. while i can't claim it is true in every instance, everytime i have observed the packaging line, the only difference between top shelf oil and the bargain brand was the label.

We don't use peanut oil to cook fish, we use the cheapest vegetable oil, and throw it away after each cooking. My wife has gotten sick before cooking fish with reused peanut oil, so we play it safe now and use fresh vegetable oil everytime we cook fish.
I'm glad my orginal post about the vegetable oil will help save money for some, every little bit of saving helps now days for sure.

I use what ever is provided at my fish frys. I provide the fish and a few will provide oil. If it doesnt get burned I will filter it then freeze it. If you have extra space in a deep freeze this works very well for me.
