    It's official. I have paid my teams entry into the CrappieMaster's tourny at the end of the month at the Mississippi State Championship. We will fish Friday the 31st on Lake Tunica and Saturday the 1st at Arkabutla.

    I would like to win it but really hoping for at least a top 20 spot so we can fish the National Championship later in the year.

    Any advice about this lake will greatly be appreciated as well!!!!!:D:D

    Good luck it will be a tough tournament last year it took 2lb fish to win, But crappiemasters puts on a great tournment My Dad and I fished truman lake tournament a few weeks ago and had a blast, We fished Arkabutla last year in Crappie Usa tournament and found the best fishing was to the right of the boat launch there is two creeks a couple minutes from the launch and there is plenty of brush and structure in this area to hold good fish we caught one that weighed 2.73, the next best spot we found was by the dam trolling the rip-rapp with minows on the capps coleman rig. I dont know much about tunica never fished there. Again good luck

    Well results are: We didn't get into the money due to a bad second day. Done real well the first day and was a couple of pounds behind first. Second day about got blowed off the lake and turned the bite off for us on the points and drop offs. Guys that fished the flats before the storms caught smaller fish but caught their seven fish limit.

    1st day results on seven fish on Tunica: 7.97
    2nd day results on two fish from Arkabutla: 4.02

    End result was we still qualified for the National Championship to be held in Sept. on Grenada where we can only hope for better weather!

    If you guys ever get a chance to fish the Crappie Masters tournament it is a blast and they are GREAT people. I am trying to work with now to bring a tourny to central Arkansas so maybe a few more us can enjoy this experience.
