    Default Biggest Challenge Ever...

I have a buddy who owns a cabin on a private lake. He has fished this lake all spring with no good results. He has challenged me to come there this weekend and fish the lake and provide some good results.

I love a good challenge but not knowing a darn thing about the lake, being mid-June and having to take him along will be definately challenging!

Ya'll wish me luck. Oh by the way, the reward is this: If I show him that descent fish can be caught from this lake, I get a free pass to his cabin and 100% fishing rights to the lake anytime I want.

Stay with your 'tried and true techniques and lures! WHAT A DEAL!!!!

If it's a shallow lake you should be able to see the thermocline by now on your DF. Concentrate on the mid depths and the drops. I'm sure you'll do just fine. :D

Well, the tried and true techniques paid off. Found several nice crappie holding on a deep drop off in about 6 FOW. Wound up keeping a limit and now I have access to a new lake!

So glad you did a number on that lake and now have a good place to fish!

Stayin' with what works and fishin' familiar structure will work on fishin' 'new' waters almost every time.

    Congrats, once more!!
