I had a set of the drift master tip saver offset rod transport holders on my old boat and I didn't like them at all. I didn't use them long enough to have a rod slip out of them while traveling but I sure didn't feel comfortable with how they secured my rods, way too loose for me, and no way to get 8 rods in the single tiered set. I had Wayne Stewart (creekslick on c.com) custom build me a set to fit my boat. They are very sturdy, adjustable, and easily removed when I don't need them. I meant to take a picture of mine, but I forgot to. They look similar to the ones that Cornfield Crappie makes. I took my boat over to him so he could see what was different about my boat that the traditional ones wouldn't work. Once they were finished I took my boat back over to him and he installed them for me. He a very nice guy also.

Do a Google Search for “Catchin’ Crappie Fishing Guide Service”. Wayne is also an excellent crappie fishing guide.
