    Default chantrelle mushrooms

Been a number of years, sence i have eaten any chantrelle mushrooms. there were none on my place but a few days ago found some very small ones and there were only about 7-8 clusters.if you cut them off at the stem will they grow back this season or is that all for each one you cut, till next year if they come up again going to wait till the get bigger before I gather them. Also does squrrels, deer, ect eat them,if they do I might be out of luck, but did want to get at least a small meal from them...I have searched the internet for this answer but did not find any thing.and has any one grown there own chantrelles,if so how did you do it....thanks

I have no idea about any of the questions. Except I bet the critters like them too.

Just got back from checking on them about an hour ago they have grown planning on cutting them at the stem so they will come back next year,it least they will make a small mess, must get on line to see how to put them on pork steak, sounds tasty...and nothings bothered them.Look up pictures of Chantrelle mushrooms,or any other mushroom thats eatable.but make for SHURE of what they are before you eat them.....Who was the guy that said "Have you ever eat a PineCone."

Make sure they are not false chantrelles..... not good. Usually don't see them until fall. Best to check them with expert, better safe than sorry.
