High School Football Time Again.....John Boy's Senior Year

John Boy graduated tonight along with the rest of his classmates. He's an Honor Grad, Arkansas Scholar, and has received an academic scholarship from SAU and says he wants to get a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also was awarded the Harmony Grove Male Athlete of the Year at last week's All Sports Banquet. We're all proud of our boy and his accomplishments.

John left today for Conway where he'll be meeting with his coaches and teammates for the All Star Game this Saturday at UCA. He has decided not to play college football and will pursue a degree in engineering at SAU. This will be his last game.

Good luck at the all star game and I hope he finishes on a high. Been an engineer for 34 years now - its an occupation that offers a world of creative challenges to keep life interesting. Glad to hear about the scholarship. Congratulations!

John's football career is done. Last night's game at UCA was fun and he did well, but it was obvious that there were some big big boys out there who were destined for more football. John will concentrate on his studies, we hope, and his friendgirl. :)
