Thread: High School Football Time Again.....John Boy's Senior Year

Hornets are off tonight because Hermitage cancelled their season a few weeks ago. Most enjoyed a restfull week and it was nice for them to get to recuperate before playing again next week. John Boy and his offensive teammates made the paper tonight.

The Parkers Chapel Trojans visit the Grove Thursday night to end the regular season. They, too, have clinched a playoff spot and should give us a challenge before the playoffs actually begin. They're usually a big baseball school and are not usually ranked too highly in football. Guess we'll see what they got when they get here.

It will be Senior Night and there'll be tailgating after school until around 6:15 when the senior recognition festivities begin. Mama and I are to escort John out to midfield while the PA announcer tells about his high school career. We have 10 senior football players and 6 senior cheerleaders that we'll be honoring, so it could be a bit emotional for us parents. I hope I don't cry. Senior parents are feeding the team, coaches, and cheerleaders after the game. We were told to bring 3-4 pounds of taco meat in a crock pot...............I hope they like deer meat tacos! GTT

Well, the Hornets won 47-0 tonight and Big John recorded his first ever interception. Defense flushed the Trojan QB, who scrambled to his right and threw back left across the middle of the field and #79 cut in front and picked it off. He made the most of his Senior Night!

Them Hornets liked the deer meat tacos too. Our crock pot was one of the first ones emptied. GTT

East Poinsett County (Lepanto) will visit Harmony Grove this Friday at 7:00. They won BIG last Friday and they're coming in hot.....we'll see if we can cool them off some.
