    Default CAPT'N CAT 2/26/17

Took my son and buddy from Texas to the Arkansas river for some cattin around!!!! We found em stacked like BEES! Sunk some skipjack in their faces and it was a quick 2 man limit! Could have made it 3 no problem but didn't want to clean that many Kitties. Had some house work to get done in the afternoon! We did however cook up a batch of ultra fresh fish and it was FANTASTIC! River water temp was 57 degrees. My son landed his personal best 16lb channel cat totally on his OWN! It wasn't pretty, resembled a dog fight, but he conquered in the end! And as I was taking that fish off 2 more poles buried! And he was the first to grab it! That kid has got some ENERGY! He slept well once he fell asleep! Somebody ended up with a freezer full of filets. We like catfish occasionally however I like the steaks better than filets.
