Hope you get it finished quickly and it is exactly what you need. Never had much dealings with remote steer boats until I got the one I own now.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Does it use a stick or wheel to steer. I saw one where they had mounted a box up on the gunnel and it had a wheel with a knot to steer. And if you don't mind, where did you get your set up from?

Has stick about 12 in tall with a suicide type handle so that u can make the 2 revolutions to go from lock to lock I mounted mine right above the location of the manual stick steer the only thing that is exposed is the stick itself with a hole drilled in the gunnel to access fill plug works really well but I would recommend mounting it as high as possible for comfort steering when on plane I have power pedestals in the war eagle which allows me to get low for more comfortable steering when motoring purchased unit from boatstore usa online.
