Thread: Old Town or Mellwood cabins or camping

Several years ago, when we lived in Jonesboro, Ar, we fished both of those places quite a bit. We usually stayed in motels in Helena. At one time, there was a camping area at an old store on old town and some older cabins on mellwood.

Thanks. I had called the store and they no longer offer camping behind the store.

If you go to Mellwood, as you cross the levee, head towards the boat club gate. There's a sign up there about camping places for rent and I noticed electrical hook ups. Not sure they are renting any spaces out as it is my understanding that the entire camp sold last year. There is primitive camping on the White River Refuge.
