We don't discriminate. Only on those rare days when birds are really coming in we will only (try) shoot green. Only get a couple of those days a year. usually later when the season is about to end.
You should've been here yesterday!!!!

The "Hen Killers" (Hawgdog and I) were at it again this morning. Couldn't get any big flocks to come in just ones twos and threes. That was all we needed I guess cuse we finished up pretty quick. After working all night that means more sleep for me today.:D Here are the pictures from yesterday and today. Going to take the day off tomorrow from hunting. Hope all of yall Have A MERRY CHRISTMAS and some birds over your decoys.

Had one of those days where you could just pick out greenheads. Only problem was that Hawgdog missed out and had to work. Couldn't get limit due to all the mallards. What a problem to have. Did manage to kill my first drake wigeon. :D

My 2 sons and 1 of their buddies and I went Christmas Eve and shot 1 teal, 2 gadwalls and 16 mallards: 14 greenheads and 2 hens, and of the 19 total, we killed 15 ducks one at a time as that was all that was coming in.

hey hawg, don't know if you've ever done it on not but here's the best fried duck recipe you've ever tasted. cut each breast into 6 pieces. i cut the breast down the middle length ways then cut it cross ways to get that many pieces. takes about 3 ducks or 6 breasts depending on how many you feed put the pieces in a bowl and pour a can of pet milk over them and let it stand for 30 min or so. take a walmart bag and pour in tollable plenty flour and about 4 table spoons of cavender's greek seasoning and shake it up good. take the pieces out of the pet milk and drop them into the walmart bag and shake them up good. have about a half to 3/4 inch of grease hot and brown good on each side and set aside when done and pour out all but about a half cup of the grease leaving the crumbs off the duck pieces in the greast. put two or three handfulls of the flour that's in the walmart bad in the skillet and brown the flour and i mean just about burn it stirring all the time till it's almost crumbles before adding the milk and stir constantly adding milk as needed till you get nearly a skillet full of the best gravy you ever put in your mouth. burning the flour is the key. and you'll have a duck meal out of this world. i used to fry up 3 or 4 ducks the night before and take it to the blind to snack on. a chef, a real chef at a duck club at gillett gave me that recipe long ago.
