Default D cell battery eliminator works good...pics...(sitting down job)

I finished off the battery eliminator today. I plugged it into my truck power outlet. The pump purred like a kitty.

I used 3/4 thin wall PVC instead of the thick wall. The circuit fits inside the pvc without having to cut grooves. This simplified construction.

    Easy to make.

I like this Canepole, where can you get the circuit you are talking about. Also is there a circuit to convert 2 AA batteries pumps to this 12 volt system?

I am interested for sure!! Can you teach me something also though? How come you need a circuit? Is it to limit the amount of current? Or is it to take the 12v to a different voltage?

The circuit converts 12v to 1.5v which is the output voltage of any carbon zinc battery of any size (AA, C, D, etc).

I will write "how to" direction s and provide links to where I locate the circuit board when I return from Dr visit this morning if anyone is interested. Let me know.

Yes, this circuit can eliminate most any carbon-zinc battery or which supplies a circuit power as long as the circuit requires 2A or less. The circuit may not fit inside, but can reside outside a pump housing and still function.

Here is the circuit(s) that I purchased. I needed two, but this was available stock in California. About $1.70 per circuit and free shipping.

Easy to wire. +/- in and +/- out. Adjust output to 1.5v before placing circuit into pvc pipe. I will take pictures of the end caps and explain "how to" to simplify build. But, you can do what you want as long as it works.

    End caps.

Tapped 8/32 hole in center cap. Drilled 1/16 hole (as shown in picture two) to pass thru end cap.

Stripped wire 1/2 inch and tinned. Positive cap.

Cut the 8/32 screw about 1/4 inch long. Used a dressing washer to hold the wire. Washer also is tapered allowing easy insert to positive battery box end.

    Negative cap.

drilled 1/8 inch center hole for 1/8 x 14 in blind rivet. Riveted 1 inch fender washer to end cap. I cut a small groove on top side of end cap with the dremel so to lay the wire in (1/2 diameter of wire groove) so the washer would level with the end cap surface better and still maintain contact.

3/4 inch thin wall cut to 1 3/4 inch length with hole in center for input power wires. This holds the circuit.

The above is just to show what I did. There are many ways to rig this contraption. I am having distorted memory issues right now. CRS disease I guess. Could be the white pill.
